The GIP is the official structure – legal entity – acting on behalf of all the members of the CNFM network.
GIP CNFM (Le Groupement d'Intérêt Public pour la Coordination Nationale de la Formation en Micro et nanoélectronique - public interest grouping for the national centre for microelectronic training) was officially created though an order by the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry and the Ministry of Education on February 20, 2002.
This GIP brings together the network of universities active in microelectronics, Microsystems and nanotechnologies training and research, and the semiconductor industries generated by the SITELESC (French semiconductor and electronic tubes association).
The objective of the grouping is to foster the development of common activities needed for university activity, in the disciplines of microelectronics and microsystems, in cooperation with the related socio-economic partners.
